With families in the Panhandle needing assistance more than
ever after the destruction caused by Hurricane Michael, the Gulf Coast Children’s
Advocacy Center was able to supply around 350 local children in Bay and
surrounding counties with much needed Christmas gifts - just in time for the big
The Holiday Hopes program is executed every year by the GCCAC to provide gifts
to area children that might otherwise go without. Individual and business sponsors
from all over the area are called on to purchases items on wish list. The items are
then wrapped and distributed by staff of the GCACC.
Holiday Hopes is one of the many services GCCAC provides to the community as
part of its mission to protect and enhance the quality of life for victims of sexual
violence and child abuse in our community by providing a trauma sensitive,
specialized approach to assess, identify, treat and prevent sexual assault and child
abuse through the coordination of community resources.
